white belt newbies

Upgrade ceremony was success.33 of Ranau karate member was take part in this duty.
some of ex-member(karateka) decided to join back karate to continue their events.
With full of spirit in their own level kata, released what exactly the uses of its advanced.

Sensei Julian Chin and his student, Fahlin together give us a short training after the upgrade.
they gave explanation of each Jr.kata and senior kata respectively.
Every basic got its aim, we able to know what the basic we learning to.

Sensei : The PRONOUNS of every KATA is very Important.

WE must mention the kata louder and correctly.

What that we learn from Shotokan Karate, is from Japenese Traditional Art.

Karate (空手?) (Japanese pronunciation: [kaɽate] ( listen), English: /kəˈrɑːtiː/) is a martial art developed in the Ryukyu Islands(Okinawa) from indigenous fighting methods te (手, literally: "hand"?) and Chinese kenpō.[1][2] Karate is characterised as a striking art using punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes and open-handed techniques such as knife-hands (karate chop). Grappling, locks, restraints, throws, and vital point strikes are taught in some styles.[3]

We have to combine our power, speed, ritsu, breathing , etc together to performing KATA.
Example :

In our basic, Gaden-barai is the blocking technique, we should do it more Speed and power to start a block.

Respect: The value that faded...

Oss! Ski, Rei! Those words are always being pronounced during the classes.. but did we have a fully understanding towards it? Ok, mari kita teruskan...

Rei dan Setsu...

REI
is based on the respect of human dignity, and the willingness to express this respect. It is a way of improving relationship between individuals and is a contributing factor to social harmony.

SETSU is the way to express this concept in action, Those who practice Karatedo must deepen their understanding of the sprit of Rei, and in inter-personal relationships, strictly observe the rules of Setsu.

Harap, we are able to improve la...

Dojo Kun

  • Strive to perfect character
  • Defend the paths of truth
  • Guard against rash courage
  • Foster the spirit of effort
  • Honour the rules of etiquette
ataupun....

- Berusaha untuk membentuk peribadi yang sempurna
- Pertahankan jalan kebenaran
- Elakkan daripada semangat yang terburu-buru (membabi-buta)
- Hormati peraturan tatasusila (kesantunan/adab)

Sekian,

yours sincerely,

Senpai Rex Alvin Francis.
